Biography
Currently working as a pulmonologist at Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) in Salisbury, Maryland. I am also actively involved in outreach clinics in rural communities, providing general pulmonary care while promoting awareness and education about pulmonary hypertension.
Over the past two years, I have worked toward establishing a multidisciplinary team of specialists—including cardiologists, rheumatologists, pulmonary rehabilitation professionals, and registered nurses—to deliver comprehensive pulmonary hypertension care in the region.
Research Interests
Completed an M.D. thesis in Pulmonary Medicine under the guidance of Dr. V. K. Vijayan, focusing on the evaluation of systemic inflammation in patients with asthma and COPD, and the impact of standard treatment on inflammatory markers.
Conducted an epidemiological study in July 2001 during a Preventive and Social Medicine posting, examining the correlation between the prevalence of anemia in schoolchildren and their cognitive development in a village in Haryana, India.
Conducted another epidemiological study in October 2000 during a Preventive and Social Medicine posting, assessing knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to organ donation in an urban slum in New Delhi, India.
