Reprints and Permissions – ESTEM Inc.

1. Open Access and Reuse Policy

All articles published by ESTEM Inc. are made available under a full open-access model, allowing broad dissemination and reuse of scholarly content in accordance with the applicable license terms.

Unless otherwise stated, articles are published under a Creative Commons license, which defines how the content may be reused.

2. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain the copyright of their published work.
By publishing with ESTEM Inc., authors grant the public permission to use their work under the terms of the selected Creative Commons license.

ESTEM Inc. does not claim exclusive copyright ownership of published articles.

3. Permissions for Reuse

Under the applicable Creative Commons license (commonly CC BY):

  • Permission is not required to reuse, reproduce, distribute, or adapt the content

  • Proper attribution to the original authors and source must be provided

  • Reuse must comply with license terms and ethical citation practices

Users are responsible for ensuring correct attribution and compliance with licensing conditions.

4. Commercial Reuse

Commercial reuse is permitted where allowed by the applicable Creative Commons license.

For uses not clearly covered by the license terms, prior written permission from ESTEM Inc. may be required.

5. Reprints for Authors

Authors may:

  • Download and distribute the final published PDF of their article

  • Share articles with colleagues, institutions, and academic networks

  • Use articles for teaching, presentations, and academic promotion

No permission is required for scholarly or educational distribution.

6. Printed Reprints

Printed reprints may be requested for:

  • Academic conferences

  • Institutional distribution

  • Educational or professional use

Printed reprints are subject to availability and production costs. Requests must be submitted in advance.

7. Third-Party Material

If an article contains third-party material (e.g., images, tables, figures) not covered by the article’s Creative Commons license:

  • Authors must obtain written permission from the copyright holder prior to publication

  • Such material must be clearly credited and identified

Responsibility for obtaining permissions rests with the authors.

8. Ethical and Legal Compliance

All reuse and reproduction must comply with:

  • Ethical scholarly practices

  • Accurate citation and attribution standards

  • International copyright and licensing regulations

ESTEM Inc. follows publishing ethics consistent with guidance from Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
