Biography
Prof. Aura Rusu is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș, Romania. Her academic career spans more than two decades, with advanced qualifications in pharmacy, quality management, and drug design. She coordinates courses in Pharmaceutical and Therapeutic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, and Drug Design.
Her research interests focus on pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, antibacterial agents, metal complexes, analytical chemistry, and drug design.
She has authored 14 books and more than 80 peer-reviewed papers (total impact factor: 142.69; h-index: 18). She serves as a reviewer for over 30 international journals and has been a Guest Editor for MDPI journals such as Pharmaceutics, Molecules, and Cosmetics.

Biography
Dr. Ismael Valladolid-Acebes is a Group Leader and Director of the Signal Transduction Unit at the Rolf Luft Research Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology, within the Department of Molecular Medicine and Surgery at Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm.
He holds a Licentiate in Pharmacy, an M.Phil. in Pharmacology, a Ph.D. in Medical Science, and an M.S. in Clinical Research from Spanish universities.
His research focuses on the molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate metabolic and endocrine homeostasis, with particular emphasis on pancreatic islet biology, insulin secretion, metabolic stress pathways, and diabetes and its complications.
Dr. Valladolid-Acebes has published more than 40 scientific articles and is actively involved in teaching, supervision, and international academic service.

Dr. Gregory Gorman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the McWhorter School of Pharmacy, Samford University. He also serves as the Director of Research for the Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Institute, which is housed within the School of Pharmacy at Samford University.
Dr. Gorman earned a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with a focus on Mass Spectrometry from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He currently serves as a mentor and research advisor to seven PharmD students. He has published more than 35 peer-reviewed journal articles, two book chapters, and 24 abstracts.
Research Interests
Dr. Gorman’s research focuses on the impact of complementary and alternative medicines (CAMs) on the efficacy and pharmacokinetics of chemotherapeutic agents, bioanalytical method development, post-lead optimization of new chemotherapeutic drug candidates, and drug metabolism.

Dr. Omathanu Perumal is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at South Dakota State University, USA. He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), India. He completed postdoctoral training at the School of Medicine, Wayne State University, USA.
Research Interests
Dr. Perumal’s research focuses on understanding the molecular basis of improving drug “deliverability” at the interface of chemical and biological sciences. This knowledge is applied to the design of novel drug delivery systems aimed at addressing drug permeability and solubility challenges. His specific areas of interest include enhancing transdermal delivery of small and large molecules, designing and evaluating novel nanocarriers, developing transcutaneous vaccine delivery systems, protein and DNA delivery systems, and engineering intracellular drug delivery vehicles.
